Iâm new here. Are flowers different from the leaves on basil? Iâve been advised to pinch the flowers to keep it healthy. In fact Iâm unsure about pinching buds or flowers on some of my other plants too. I know this is a very basic thing I should know but I donât.
Does anyone know what is growing with the sage? Mustâve got in on accident!

My take on it: Success to me is anytime I have learned something about a plant, even if its what NOT to do next time. Even if a plant has died in my care, but I learned why, thats success! Failure to me is repeating the same mistake 3 times without having learned it the first 2. AND learning nothing due to lazy lack of research, or lazy lack of doing what I learned.
Iâve acquired SO many plants since I bought my very first plant in December- 6 months later and Iâm at 44 and counting! Finding them the best home and design is an ongoing (but very fun!) challenge⊠I stumbled upon this setup that makes me feel so happy every time I walk in my room! The lemon lime maranta is my favorite plant and the only intentional placement but the rest fell in line nicely!

What is this? My plant identifier says it is a live oak, or a Chinese Holly- but it doesnât look like it. I kinda need help right now before it gets to big- if it is something that gets too huge.

Fiddle leaf fig tree has Root rot or bacteria? Watering regularly when 2 â soil feel dry. Nursery Soil mix was changed about 2 months ago with formulated soil mix for flf from Perfect Plants. He is next to my living room window (west) and has a growing light. He has lot of new growths , some with edema.

I am heading out of town for a week and donât have anyone I trust to water my indoor plants. What have you done? My spider plant is my biggest concern but I also have a Jade, lily, and a few others.
I just got this deiffenbachia(Dumb Cane) off of clearance, and it had a lot of brown on the leaves. I chopped bad leaves away and looked for any sign of spider mites, thrips, or mealybugs but didnât see any. The first pic is before a cleaned it up, and the second after. I think the pot might be too big, but Iâm unsure if it mattered enough to stress out the plant by reporting. And how much water do they like? Any other advice and/or tips would be greatly appreciated!
I have an elephant ear bulb that appears to be dead. It was planted in fresh soil. I will be receiving a replacement. Can I plant it in the same soil?
