My dad just bought me this plant and I am wondering what it is and how to help it. On the tag it says it is a Canna. I am probably going to repot it but I don’t know if I have a pot that should fit it.

You guys will understand my struggle about this better than my husband. 🤣 I had a long week…. And then knocked over a plant. 😩 “Moth Geller” (my moth orchid) wasn’t hurt, so I glued and taped the pot back together and stuck him back in. I hope he still blooms 🤞🏻🤞🏻

How do people feel about giving plants as gifts? Should we know that someone is into plants before considering gifting? Otherwise, is it just putting pressure on the recipient to care for something? Or is a lovely, low-maintenance plant a great gift?

The little squiggly things at the base of my asparagus fern, are these root? I replanted this almost a month ago and I think it’s starting to spread its root. Just making sure this isn’t something I have to worry about!

related to my last post, i’ve never experienced treating root rot😭 as of now i’m getting rid of the mesh and rotted roots. after that i’m assuming i let the plant dry and then repot it into new soil??

unfortunately my biggest fear came true. my flamingo lily has roof rot. good thing she has many healthy roots and less rot. as i’m cleaning her out i found this weird web thing in the center ? is it normal?

After my orchid turned brown I cut it all the way down to the base. I do water it about once à week, but do people recommend using orchid plant food? I have some and used it for a bit (I think it’s what caused the flowers to turn brown, which was my error) but not in a while and am just wondering, during this season of no growth, should I water and use plant food still as regularly?

hi everyone. does anyone know why my african violet leaves are in an upright position? when i first got the plant the leaves did not stand up straight. is it possible this plant is getting too much light?
