Hey yall. Wanted some advice. Unfortunately my aloe plant got knocked over, and while I was repotting it I noticed that the outer leaves were starting to fade a bit. I got this plant last week, and havenât watered it yet because the soil it came in was completely drenched. It sits on my balcony where the sun is directly on it for about 8 hours. Should I go ahead and cut these leaves away, or is there still time to save them? The shorter one does look like it sustained some damage in the fall.

Calathea rhizome spotted at the bottom of my pot. Is it time for a repot? This is all i can see at the bottom, no other visible roots or rhizomes. Iâve got some browning leaves and wonder if it may be because itâs due for a repot? Also, if i were to repot, what size would be best? Itâs currently in a 6â pot. Thank you!

I am planning on leaving my beloved green friends for a short period of time. At this point, they donât have a plant sitter as she is pregnant. Iâm looking for a self watering system for in-home use. Water globes, and bottles attached to watering stakes may not offer the plant enough water, or so Iâve been told. Could you give me any advice on an item that would serve this purpose well? I like the idea of a plant being watered as it needs it rather than getting water as programmed since Iâm afraid of getting a plant too wet. However, Iâve been told that self watering devices may not give enough water to moisture loving plants. What a conundrum! TIA for any comments on the following or maybe better ideas. Regards, đ€đđȘŽ

Hey! Iâm wondering if anyone has any tips for moving house with plants? For example, packing them, placing them, watering etc. The plants I have are: Kentia palm Parlor palm Money tree Snake plant Calathea Birds of paradise Indian Laurel Money plant Some snowball succulents Mitre Aloe Spider plant Pineapple plant Dormant moth orchid Theyâre all mostly in great condition and really happy where they are placed. Iâm worried that the house move will interrupt them. At the moment a lot of my plants are in an attic room and they get a good amount of light. In the new place there is a conservatory, and plenty of light and shady places for them to sit!

Hi! Any thoughts on how/when to use hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol with plants ?? Iâve taken propagated plants out of my prop box after a month or so of propagating and most of the plants are healthy and rooted, but there was definitely mold in the box so things are not smelling great. I donât want mold to grow on the plants when I plant them, but I donât want to misuse chemicals and accidentally kill my plants đ”
