new fertilizer I got a new fertilizer , the instructions say to add one drop for every gallon, is this fertilizer good?

    The N-P-K ratio of 1-1-1 is too low. I recommend using a fertilizer with higher ratios. My hard tap water probably has more chemicals. 😁 The N-P-K ratio is the percentage of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the fertilizer. Nitrogen levels of 8% to 12% would be better. Note that nitrogen levels in some miracle gro products are double that! Osmocote timed release fertilizer granules are balanced at 14-14-14. The SuperThrive Plant Vitamins has a negligible ratio of 0.5-0-0 because it’s a vitamin supplement and not fertilizer. đŸȘŽđŸ€

    The fertilizer isn’t the worst it shouldn’t hurt your plants or anything. 1 pump for gallon seems reasonable I wouldn’t go anything above that to be safe also during the winter months cut fertilizing in half. When you use up this fertilizer or decide to get a new one I recommend miracle grow. Their fertilizer has worked well for me and it’s pretty cheap and easy to find.
