I learned to keep mine moist at all times. Idk if that’s universal or just because mine is in a super tiny pot. Not soaking, just always damp. But it needs a soil that breathes well.
0 gillningarSo like mist it or moist soil?
0 gillningarAlso mist the plant to make sure the leaves doesn’t brown and shrivel up.
1 gillai don’t have the polly alocasia but i do have one in the same family and if they’re similar which i’m assuming they are i most mine along with my other plants and keep my humidity between 50-60% (you can get meters on amazon for like $5-$10) but one thing i learned is they weep or atleast mine does if it’s overwatered but if you’re misting it it will obviously drip off but if you water it and wake up next morning and it’s dripping i wouldn’t water it again!

0 gillningari also only water mine when the top 1-2 inches is dry, i could be wrong since everyone else in here is saying to keep it moist so maybe that is where our difference between our plants lay!
1 gillaYes lol, I bought a temp meter and fertilizer and other plant stuff lol I’m ready for her, I wanted to get leca but it’s EXPENSIVE
0 gillningarThese plants love high humidity. I have mine on top of my large decorative humidifier and it's only lost one leaf since September. I bought it at Trader Joe's and I think it was overly watered when I bought it. I think having a water meter helps to tell when its time to water. I only water about every 2 weeks because it's so dry with fertilizer every time.
1 gillaThanks!
