Happy day for my ZZ! I was gifted this ZZ plant in January 2024. Iāve been watering and talking to it and nothing. I was thinking about tossing it š«£ and finally TODAY, I saw a baby shoot growing. I am so excited.

I know right! Donāt judge a plant by how long it takes to grow š„°

YolandaGive it time.. just make sure you donāt overwater the plant the rhizomes(potato looking things) they preserve water for the plant. Make sure you turn the plant each time you water so the stems will grow up. When they lean like that the plant is reaching to get more light.., you might consider moving it to a area where it gets better indirect lightingā¦ I spin this ZZ every time I fill the reservoir.. you might do better to move your plant and repot it in a self watering planter..ZZ plants really like to dry out before watering again.. I have 2 and probably only water once every 2 to 3 weeksā¦good luck

Great suggestions. Iāve havenāt been rotating it and Iāll love it closer to the window. āļø
