Anyone know why my Calathea Ornata has curling leaves? Light issue or watering issue? TIA

due to a lack of humidity, insufficient water, underwatering, or cold temperatures.

I have humidifiers and haven’t run them in a while, i tend to turn them off in the summer. Will put them out by my plants again. I follow the watering schedule in the app, but maybe i need to adjust.

I have found that calathea should mostly but not completely dry out, and need filtered water with a few drops of fish tank water conditioner. The type of water makes a big difference.

I do usuallt use my tap water and add a fertilizer and some gnat killer into it. I’ll have to look at using some distilled water maybe. Thx

To fix this, ensure consistent moisture, use filtered or distilled water, provide high humidity through misting or a humidifier, and maintain temperatures between 60-80°F. Bottom-watering can help rehydrate the soil ef-fectively. Hope this helps.

I agree about Calathea's needing higher humidity and non-tap water. But, I notice with a few of my plants when their leaves start to curl up like that it's because of too much light. So, maybe also try a spot with less direct sun. Hopefully, if the light is the reason, they should relax within a day or two.
