    While looking for a plant at a nursery ( plant nursery ) before grabbing a pretty plant and leaving, you need to do these things. 1. Search on google “ Ur plant easy care” just replacing ur plant with the one you want to get. If it is easy to care for and fits your house light and weather 2. Check leaves and stems for pests 3. Make sure it is in good health, I don’t recommend rescue plants at all beginner level 4. Once you take your leafy friend home, I recommend you isolate your new plant from any other plants you might have around the house for a week. So you can make sure if any pest or two is on your plant that you mist, won’t spread to your other plants 5. If you find pests first search up and make sure you know what they are, if they are spider mites, fungus knats, or thrips. Do not worry just ask the plant community for help and tips to fix the problem Hope this helps! (Sorry for the entire paragraph)

    Figure out how to make your own organic pest spray cause you will use a ton, if you have a lot of plants. If you don’t have a lot of plants, you can purchase any. Spray the soil after every time you water to prevent those gnats. This is for indoor plants…. For outdoor plants you will want a stronger pesticide for aphids and other stuff, so that I would purchase

    What are you planting in though.. indoor or outdoor. Hard to give advice based on what you wrote :)
