Hey yāall! This poor little guy is losing leafs like crazy it hasnāt had the best lighting, and sit on our dining table, and get watered about once every month or two Iām not quite sure how to care for it mid love yāallās help and tips! Thank yāallš

My thoughts for your Elephant Bush aka Potulacaria that appears to be way too dryā¦ 1-water it my placing it in a bowl of water for @ 20 mins to let the roots soak up all the water it needs. Let it drain a few minutes before placing it back in you cover pot. This ābottom wateringā ensures the roots are getting all the water they need. Do this 1x month. 2- a few pumps of cactus fertilizer. You can buy from the garden center. 1x every month

Mine gets water when the soil dries out completely. Thatās about every 10 days because the temps are very high which dries out the plant faster. Iām in South Texas, zone 9. I could never go 1 month without watering it. It would be bald. š Your little pot and plant should need water more often unless youāre in a colder climate. Mine is in a 10ā hanging basket. It gets bright shade until about 2 pm where it gets direct northwest facing sun. Yours probably needs more light and increased watering. My plant is much lighter when the soil needs water. The plant droops and leaves dry out and drop. Mine is dry in the photo. šŖ“š

1 gilla I got mine full size from an old nursery that was going out of business. Iāve never owned an elephant bush before. And I kill succulents. So, just followed the sellerās suggestion. Water if the pot feels light and before leaves drop. š. I slowly moved it into full afternoon sun outside and in a south window during the winter. Iām still fascinated that itās still alive for over a year!š¤£
