Cool!
1 gillaSo nice to see someone else with this plant! The flowers are really unique. Mine recently started blooming as well. I think itās their leaves that I love the most, though. Hereās a tip: if you want the undersides of the leaves to be a brighter color, putting mine in a south-facing windowsill that gets 6-8 hours of sunlight did the trick. Yours looks great so far! Good luck with it! š (And as another tip, Iāve spotted a few of this type of lipstick plant at my local Loweās lately, including in the clearance section. If you donāt mind rehabbing a plant a little, thatās a cheaper way to make your plant fuller in less time.)

Wow yours looks amazing!
1 gillaWhy, thank you āŗļø I canāt take too much credit for her, though. I went to The Rhoads Garden in North Wales, PA, and they had pretty large ones in 3-in pots for $7! I bought two and combined them to form the one pictured š Iāve learned from mine that they enjoy being in a well-draining mix, so I repotted mine with Espomaās Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix, and I water mine every 12-14 days (typically 12 in the warmer months, and Iāll be pushing it back to 14 in the cooler months by the end of this month). Iāve also learned that they tend to grow a little faster if theyāre more snug in their pots, so while they both came in 3-in pots, when I combined them, I used one of the 3-in pots they came in and made sure the pot was no more than 1-2 inches wider in diameter than the width of the combined plantās root ball. Iāve read keeping them more rootbound can help them produce blooms too.
