I hate pruning my hanging plants ! Lol makes me feel like Iām starting from scratch sometimes š
2 gillningarRight! Like I know theyāll come back stronger and larger but like.. thatās my baby. Iāve watched her grow since 2022, which isnāt that far. But in plant years (by my math) thatās basically 4 years ago
3 gillningarlol 2 years is still a long time in my head š but regardless 2 years or 6 months i hate taking off length
1 gillaThe trick itās to prune at the ānodesā, specifically between two nodes. And peperomia propagate really well from stem cuttings if you put them in moss. And once they form roots you can form a new plant from it or stick them around the base of the original plant to make the plant bushier in less time than naturally letting it grow out. Btw just wanted to let you know your peperomia is a peperomia Obtusifolia or peperomia clusifolia, not a peperomia hope. Just thought I should let you know in case itās giving you different watering and fertilizing recommendations from the current ID, and that itās not a trailing plant, so if it starts getting top heavy and falling over the sides, thatās either cause it needs to be pruned or stretching for more light. Mine enjoy a good north windowsill or east/west window. Hope this helps! (Hereās one of mine, for example. Mineās a peperomia clusifolia āred marginā, but thereās a lot of different varieties of this type.)
3 gillningaryes itās always a hurdle for me ā but they LOOOOVE it
2 gillningarYes!!
0 gillningarAny tips for pruning my pathos? Sheās getting so long but Iām so scared to do it!
0 gillningarjust DO IT!! š thatās it ā i used to be very careful or strategic but these days sometimes they just get a blunt bob in a fit of plant progress lol cut below a node is the proper advice š
2 gillningarYou have to water propagate it first to get roots!
1 gillaYou can stick them in now, but it is much easier to control their conditions when you prop in water, and if your new to propagating I highly recommend it. Once theyāve got some roots you can put them in with the original plant.
