Might just be me but does anyone else get frustrated when they see stores (specifically grocery) have a ton of Orchids but they’re ALL in ceramic pots without drainage 🥲 and I took a closer look and they don’t even have orchid soil/chips 😭 just so sad that they’re all definitely not healthy and will likely die 😭 I had been gifted one of them (couple months ago before I got planta) but after a couple days it started to rot and luckily I quickly searched what could be causing it, so my partner 3D printed me a orchid pot and I bought some orchid chips and hopefully she survives:/ but not everyone will care and look up its needs/ have Planta ;(

    I have a mini that was in a 2 inch pot no drainage or air flow holes and growing in a plug. The roots were super bound and the plug was not retaining moisture well but it was in full bloom. I finally couldnt take it and very carefully pulled it out and slowly picked away the plug and repotted in orchid pot with bark and sag moss. Shes doing lovely and the 2 buds that were not opening are starting to🙌. I hate those stupid plugs

    Omg yes I get mad at that all the time! Grocery stores and big box stores drive me nuts. It’s a big pet peeve to see tortured plants for sale.
