Pour some fertilizer out for my Anza tonight. After four years of flourishing, it was too little too late to stop the dying process. This is the plant that grew my love of plant care. Our first plant. I propped what I could and can only hope for Anza the II 🌱💚 It’s odd to say you grieve a plant. But with the effort, research, time, trial and error we really do pour ourselves into our plants that give so much back.

very true. i’ve gone through many losses in my house and i felt every one of them. it’s always okay to get a new one in remembrance of the very beginning 💚 i lost a peace lily that was given to me from a funeral and it was the worst.. but i have a beautiful baby one and i remember every day why i have one in the first place :)

Oh I totally get your grief in the loss of a plant you have nurtured. Good luck with Anza II.

I totally understand plant grief. It hits different when it’s one that is a first and you have had it for years. I lost a gorgeous peperomia plant that was so giving for six years. I gave props to my daughters at some point so I do get to see those babies. It still saddens me though bc the mother plant was so big and pretty. I hope your props do well!

Totally understandable; i lost two bonsai that i had been working on for years due to a greenhouse change and summer heat, and it was devastating; the older one was already 12 years old when i got it. They are survived by a cutting that's grown into a wonderful little tree. May God bless Anza the II and help him rise like the sun.
