Is that ANOTHER planter? Inside THE planter??
Yup
1 gillaYou should cut the pots to more easily free the plant without damaging the roots.
2 gillningarDone! I'll know if leaves don't start to get black and squishy! Roots looked lovely! Thank you so much!

1 gillaOh gods, that's annoying. Are the nurseries really getting this lazy that they can't decant the net pot??
1 gillaItâs not laziness. Itâs cost savings. They have to pay workers to cut those off. Itâs also built in obsolescence. The plant dies and you go buy another one after blaming yourself for failing. Many donât know itâs the cage of death that kills the plants.

Most growers start their plants in those plastic pots assuming us owners will remove it during the first repot. Itâs a cost saving method but itâs also very effective for rooting props to grow. Itâs not meant to stay on forever - just like how most potting mediums are just straight peat when itâs a growers pot - youâre supposed to change it for the best growth. Itâs just not usually communicated that thatâs the intention đ„Č
