Humidity being too low can cause leaves to crack or split. Most of the plant looks great especially since itās blooming. š Only the two yellow edged leaves could indicate other issues or just older leaves dying off. Itās hard to tell.
1 gillaYouāve got a great eye! Those yellow edged leaves are caused by black spot, if you can believe that! I ended up having to remove about five of her big leavesā¦š©! However, she is now making a great comeback with nine new baby leavesā¦ š„³š¤©š! By the way, TXS for your informative post.
1 gillaYou are welcome. Black spot would be root rot or fungal?
1 gillaFUNGAL⦠Nasty, nasty, nasty! Iāve been fighting black spot for several months now, and itās driving me nuts; thatās not saying anything about my plants. Theyāre not happy either, as evidenced by my beloved Amazonian, as I call her! However, she is on the mend, and is going to be beautiful once again, with all of her nine new leaves that are coming upā¦š¤©!
1 gillaHow do you fight it, Lynda. I think mine is suffering from it too then! š
0 gillningarIāve tried several home remedies. A commercial fungicide works best for me plus letting the soil drown down more. Keeping a small fan helps with air circulation that helps dry out the soil and plant.
