Pulled this pot out of the garage after a few months with my dead (or so I thought) corn plant. What on earth is going on? Will it survive?

Yes MAYBE green will come out of that, whatever that is.. 😅😅🙈🙈
3 gillningarinteresting, it's completely variegated. it definitely could survive, i see teeeny tiny bits of green
3 gillningarI’m my experience, any fully white that isn’t normal for the plant will die. It’s very interesting to see this. If I had this plant I’d leave it just to see what happens, but I know end result will be wasted time. If I was to keep this plant I’d cut that white off and let it trigger another growth point. There are many nodes on that, even buried under the soil. Water and treat as a live plant.
2 gillningarI think I’m going to leave it as is out of pure curiosity, even if death is inevitable 😛
2 gillningarYes please post an update later, would love to see the results.
5 gillningarIts odds of survival are very low. You might try exposing a lower node to see if it can get some green leaves in there
2 gillningarI had a similar experience with an old corn plant that I had discarded. It wasn’t white, but surprisingly, after a few months I saw growth when considering the pot for a newbie. I got excited and started to care for the plant again. Sadly, once I started watering it, it died completely! I guess it was too much too soon. 🤷🏽♀️ Maybe take it slow? I hope you have success!
4 gillningarIt became albino when placed in the dark. Give it some light.
