I just received an Easter cactus. Never had one before. I am wondering, do I snip off the wilted flowers or let them be and they will fall off when they are ready?

I don’t know much about them but I think I have one from last year and the flowers eventually fell off. It was outside for most of the spring and summer and did great when I brought it in with being in the window. It has not bloomed yet but starting to see signs!! Enjoy! And follow the instructions from the app… it has saved so many of my plants! Especially since I was such a novice with indoors!

1 gillaYou should pull off the dead ones as they still take energy from the plant and it has a harder time blooming bc it’s energy isn’t just focusing on blooming
2 gillningarThat’s what I was wondering, because I know with my other plants I clip the dead and damaged leaves for that reason, but I didn’t know if it was the same for this.

This is lovely. I just recently got my Easter Cactus and can’t wait to see new blooms.
2 gillningarI have mine under a grow light and just realized now that the flowers close up when the light shuts off! Had no idea they did that. 😄
