I decided to try string of turtles again and this time I flipped the pot slightly just to make sure the roots are attached to the soil. Anyone have care tips?

Best advice I can offer is that the String of Turtles is actually an epiphytic plant, and not a succulent. They grow on trees, etc, so they will tend to have shallower root systems. I usually water based on weight. My Tortie is much heavier after watering, and when he starts to get light, I'll water. You can also see the turtles will be thicker after watering.
2 gillningaryea mines in a terrarium at the moment and i havent planted it but the one outside is layered on top of the soil not with the base in the pot
