Ugh researching the Philodendron lupinum talked me right out of buying it. Totally changes leaf shape & texture when it sizes up (aka needs to climb), but is also a spider mite magnet and high humidity needer. Yeah, no thanks. š
1 gillaAt minimum i look up expected mature size and light category before buying. I do tend to plan my plant choices in advance, but for impulse buys it's just "do i have a spot for you?"
2 gillningarAfter some trial and error over the years, I know which plants I like and are comfortable with their care. I can tell you I would never buy another fiddle leaf fig again, even if someone gave it to me for free š«£
