Here we go! I have been patient any waited 36 hours for my Bulbasaur to acclimate to its new environment, deflasked it and cleaned with a little hydrogen peroxide solution, now we wait! For about 2 weeks it will stay in its climate controlled ā€œgreenhouseā€ before slowly allowing more airflow to then let it start thriving in the house! If you want to save ALOT of $$ on rare plants and have the patience TC (Tissue Cultures) are the way to go! They just come with patience🤣 Stay tuned for updates!

Tissue cultures intimidate me, they just seem so fragile! What is your success rate?

So far 100% (that’s only 4 for 4) but I’d say if you see that it looks healthy in the bag then you are more than likely to have success! The more humidity the better!

Maybe one day I’ll build up the courage, where do you get yours from (health and looks/rarity wise)

I use orange lake nursery out of FL They have awesome/rare/cool plants and are very reasonably priced!

I’ll definitely check them out, it’s so hard to find shops with a balance of happy healthy plants that don’t cost an arm and a leg lol

What medium are you using? I’m currently doing a big round of tcs and my problem I’m having is after about a week I’ll get a little mold on the top soil. I’ve repotted the first batch once already, they all looked great so I caught it early. But now my second batch just started showing the first signs today. I made an orchid bark, perlite, soil mix and i didn’t think it was that much soil but maybe it is still too much
