Anyone have any secrets for how to get my rubber plant to grow? Haha I’ve had it for months and months. When I got it, it threw a new leaf and since then it hasn’t done anything. It has only dropped one leaf! It’s healthy but it’s boring lmao I want a new leaf!! Should I repot a size up?

I wish mine would slow down on growing. Lol. Give it some time and it will get really big. 😉

Mine didn’t really grow for the first 8 months I had it? I would just keep giving it light and care, it’ll randomly decide to grow one day. You could give it a sliiightly larger pot and a fertilise to encourage it?

You could always chop the top off to encourage growth

It won’t necessarily make it grow faster but I still second cutting off the top. It’s at a great height to try to get it to branch

Oh that makes me nervous haha what does chopping the top off do? Or what is it supposed to do?

I have the tineke rubber plant and it wasn’t giving me much growth. I chopped the top off and I now have two growth points. Chopping it off is supposed to encourage branching which leads to more leaves.

Couple suggestions 1. More light 2. Start fertilizing of your haven’t been 3. Increased illumination If those don’t work, try reducing the amount of darkness it’s gets per day.

Does it get any direct light or just indirect light from the spot in your picture?
