How do you measure light on a wall that is between tooth south facing windows? How do you measure it if you have a sheer curtain over a self facing window to protect the plants that it’s there? The app does not give us a way to State that it’son a shelf high where it’s getting some minimal light or it doesn’t give a way to state that it’s not in the direct light. How did you guys measure these things? Thank you.

Do you have a pic of the area during the sunniest part of the day?

I don’t have pictures of the moment. I have used the plant app light meter. And when I am aiming it at that area, it states it’s in full sun. But there’s a wall there.

you can download lux apps on your phone but I'm not sure how accurate they are 😅

I think I will try that. Thank you so much. I think the only other thing that would happen would be just put in the description. The plant is a few more feet away than it is. Thank you for your help.

Use the light meter in the app. And test the area 2-3 times through out the day. It's under the magnifying glass

It says to do it around noon. And to point it at the window that light is coming in. The problem is when I add a plant to that site it says it’s to bright when it’s not in the direct light. It’s off to the side of it. But it says it’s to close. That’s the problem with the light meter on this app.

So you're placing the phone where you plan to put the plant, with the camera facing the window it would get light in. And it's saying it's to bright? This is why I check it during multiple times. Because like my west window will say it's too bright, but it only gets direct sun for about 4-6hrs a day. So it's in the site as partial sun/partial shade. Unfortunately the issue with lighting, i have several plants that show they are too bright but if I put them in less light, they don't do as well. You can also put a film on the window or a sheer curtain to diffuse the light
