Should I repot this plant? Itās been getting dry, yellow leaves. Iām thinking the pot is too small and without drainage.

iād recommend moving it to a pot 2-3 inches bigger with drainage, so that the plant doesnāt get root bound or have root rot
0 gillningarThank you so much! Iāll do that.
0 gillningarAlthough that is great advice for a lot of plants, succulents actually need the opposite. They usually have small, slow growing, root systems and need a smaller pot. A pot bigger than their roots can cause root rot because they canāt reach all the water. They actually need surprisingly small pots sometimes. And they donāt usually mind being a little root bound. They need to sit in dry dirt between waterings so you are absolutely right that they need drainage. Just wanted to clear the other part up in case you had any succulents.
0 gillningarI had one of these and ended up killing it. Yours is beautiful!

0 gillningarWhat I did for most of my plants was repot them into clear nursery pots with drainage, and then placed the nursery pots into decorative ones
1 gillaIāll try that! Thanks!
1 gillaSame size pot but you need drainage. As you are reporting you can check to make sure the roots havenāt overgrown and them a little trim if they have
1 gillaOk! Thanks!
0 gillningarIf you are going to trim the roots, please leave it out of the dirt to dry for a few days. They usually have small root systems though so it probably wouldnāt need any trimming.
0 gillningarThese plants tend to have very small root systems, so I would repot in a pot of the same size with drainage in succulent and cactus soil
1 gillaThanks!
0 gillningarI agree with all the comments saying it needs drainage. Like all succulents they need well draining soil and a drainage hole. But with my limited aeonium experience, it seems they need water more often than other succulents since their leaves are thinner. So still only water after the soil has been dry and the leaves get more pliable, but expect it sooner than other succulents. Most succulents have small root systems so they need small pots to be able to suck up more water. They actually donāt mind getting root bound a bit too.
