Hello everyone. I have this dieffenbachia camo here that one of the top leaf seams to have had a small crack in the center causing it to droop. Two questions, first is what most likely caused this (sickness, pest, just unlucky place for a tear) , second is what do I do about it, do I cut the whole leaf off? Or just leave it alone? Thank you!!

I never know for sure how that happens on my plants. Many times, I believe, I probably bumped into them while watering and bent them myself! No matter how, I never worry about it or remove them. I figure everyone has their scars. Some are more visible. That’s what makes us interesting.

Agree with Nattie. If it starts to get brown and really noticeable, then I remove it and I feel better about the overall health of the plant..

just an unfortunate brush with something. the leaf has multiple veins in it aside from the central one that's been broken here, so it'll survive just fine. it's already old enough to have scarred
