I have a spider plant with it's first baby. However, I prefer the look of them without the babies. I was hoping to get advice on the best place to cut it off!

I believe you want to cut it by the base!

Same! They don’t survive long in my house lol. I’ve made 2 from the mother plant for my house and 3 was enough so I gift them to folks now once they’ve established enough. You just plop ‘em right in the dirt after cutting, with the little base down, and they do their thing. No water prop necessary. I gave my mom this one on the left filled with teeny babies last year and it’s growing pretty great!
