Hello I have started multiple propagations for my philodendron and only one of them has small roots so far the rest haven’t got any yet and it’s been 5 weeks since I first started is there something I’m doing wrong cause I don’t know. Please help! Thank you

    I found that when I prop philos, it does take time for roots to grow. Have you tried a rooting powder or prop drops?

    I didn’t use any powder or drops but mine did take forever! I had almost given up hope but recently I noticed roots. My leaves stayed green and vibrant through the whole process though, yours look a bit wilted and brown? I’m new to propagation so idk but seems like that could be an issue.

      It’s a velvet philodendron this is my not propigated one

    I recently learned that pothos have high levels of the hormones that help plants root. I’ve started putting a marble pothos cutting in with my philodendron propagations and it has really sped up the rooting process. I also try to change the water out weekly and use filtered water for my propagations.

    mine toooo ive had my philo brazil cuttings in water for over a month and there are maybe 2/3 roots on the things. i hate waiting lol but i’m glad to know it takes a little bit of time compared to others lol you got this!!

    I usually don't even look at them for like a month except to check water levels and add some if they are low. And if they have started great if not I just leave em alone. It's a waiting game. Some will grow great and some won't.

    My heart leaf philo took forever to prop. It when she did I was so excited. I just planted her in soil the other day

      Thanks. Just give it time. I am a firm believer in if it doesn't make you happy gift it or get rid of it. It should be fun not stressful.
