Hello! I recently acquired a Spider plant with no knowledge of taking care of it. I see a lot of dead ends on the leaves and was wondering if I should leave them alone or cut them off. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Youâre in luck because these guys are so easy! Yes, remove the dead/crusty/brown leaves. Green can go brown, but brown cannot go green. The soil used looks okay for this guy, just make sure your pot has adequate drainage. Planta should help you with watering. I donât think these guys are too picky about tap water, but if youâre able, filtered water is better. They grow babies by stringing them up in between their leaves. You can watch tons of videos online if you want to propagate, or you can cut them off and toss them.

0 gillningarYouâll do great! As you âget to knowâ the plant, youâll be able to tell what she needs and adjust. And theyâre okay with dryness, so if youâre unsure about watering, just wait, even if Planta tells you to. A slight bit of leaf drooping due to dehydration is much easier to handle than root rot.
2 gillningarIt looks like the oldest leaves dying off if itâs just those leaves shown that are dying. You can cut these older browning leaves. If there are brown tips on many leaves, then, it could be under watering. Keep it under a grow light within a foot of the plant. An east facing window is good to get direct light. Filter sunlight through sheer curtains and it can take a south or west facing window. Fertilize at least once a month and they will flourish. đȘŽđ
