i got my first big monstera, and i honestly and not quite sure how to take care of it lol but i love it sooooo much any advice would be lovely TIA :))))

    More light = faster growth and more fenestrations

    they love humidity! they aren't particularly fans of misting, so i recommend a humidifier, but misting will work in the meantime as a temporary fix if you don't already have one. you should also get a stake for it to climb on, as they climb on stuff in the wild and that's how they're designed to grow. also make sure not to change the direction it faces too much, ideally the leaves should all face a similar if not the same direction, and adjusting it too much can cause it to develop leggy growth.

    I have mine in a west window and I only water him when his soil’s pretty much completely dry. I water him DEEP though. Like soak him in a beep bowl or bucket or something, for up to an hour and make sure all of the soil is saturated before letting him drain all excess water out.
