Does anyone else have a problem with their monsteras sort of weeping whenever they water them? I got this plant from a friend who thought they were neglecting it and I already had to take a leaf off due to a fungal infection

Thatâs common plant activity. I forget what itâs called. Someone will swoop in and tell us lol. But itâs basically the plant transpiring excess water that has been absorbed by the roots. I find it tends to happen to me if the plant is left with a lot of water in the drip tray after watering. Or sometimes itâs just more noticeable when thereâs high humidity. In that case, even if the plant was watered normally, youâll notice it more because the droplets arenât evaporating Normally Iâd say it isnât inherently something to worry about. However, if this plant has already shown signs of fungal infection, I would water less often, make sure it doesnât sit in water, and dry drops off the leaves if I see them. Monster deliciosa can be treated like a succulent in terms of watering, in my opinion. Their roots are so robust, they can go longer without water than your average tropical. This will reduce the risk of fungal infection and root rot I hope it recovers and starts flourishing soon! âșïž
