Hi there planters! Iām a little worried about my guy here. The soil and chips look a littleā¦. Grey š¬ Thoughts? Should I be worried Iāve included where it is in the room (it is cloudy this morning)

AmyI canāt tell for sure but it looks like itās outgrown its pot. Iāve repotted and transplanted my ZZs twice and they did really well. Planta says 1-2ā larger pot than what itās in now.

MoriahItās possible your water is changing the color of those wood chips. Iād put it somewhere it gets a little more son for a few days and see what happens! I donāt think that pot looks too big, but thatās just my observation. If the roots are taking up more than 50% of the space in that pot, THE. repot it! The only alternative is to pick off and throw away those chips if they look ugly to you haha

JosieThe wood chips might just be faded from normal watering and sun exposure. But if you havenāt refreshed the soil in a year or two might be time too otherwise itās most likely just cosmetic.
