PlantLadyThe only thing that has worked for me is having my plants in places my cats are unable to reach.

My cat palm is huge, itās gotta stay on the floor. She deliberately gets on her hind legs to try and chew it.

I understand completely. Iāve been living with my banana tree in my bathroom for over two months because itās too cold for it to be outside but my cats wonāt leave it alone. Maybe getting some sort of night stand or wooden box or something to put underneath it so itās at least a bit harder for her to reach?

SmallbeetoesYou can try coffee grounds in the soil or cinnamon or citrus. If those dont work you could get a scat mat around the plant. Or like plantlady said put ut in a place she cant get to

Iāll try to do that and see if itās enough to deter her, though sheās after the leaves that are way above the soil

If it is too big then it may be best to put it in a room she does not have access to

Tara šŖ“š¶š»Thereās a bitter spray you can get to stop cats from chewing. Itās citrusy which they donāt like. You could spray the lower leaves with that? Unfortunately I donāt know if it would be harmful to the plant itself.

Iāll have to look into it! Sheās very picky of what she puts into her mouth (unsurprisingly she likes to eat everything thatās not actually cat friendly š¤) so a spray might work
