My jade plant has three stems. I bought it as one plant in one pot. Should I leave it as is, or repot three plants individually?

It depends on if you prefer a bigger bushier plant, or multiple individual plants. I like to keep my jade plants in a single pot, where it looks like a little bush. But if you want more individual jade plants than go for it!

Completely agree with Alana here. I can give some examples of a bushy one with a lot of separate jades in it, one from cuttings from my jade to form a small bush in time, and my 30 year old Jade that looks more like a bonsai.

This one’s a jade that branched into 5 separate branches, so it’s starting to look like a tree, but has a steady base and lots of new growth, so I’m gonna keep her that way

And this is my 30 year old. He was a cutting from my grandmother’s 60+ jade plant that she gifted to my mom. It’s sadly been accidentally knocked over twice by my dad and reduced to this branch, but he’s very hardy, and still has a lot of new growth every summer. I think you’d find success with either option, especially if you’ve found a spot your jade seems to like and it has enough room to put them into separate pots together.

…and this is my grandmother’s 60+ jade, if you’re tempted to keep them together. (For reference, she’s about 4-4 1/2 ft tall, and looks like a large bush lives in my aunt’s house. Jades can live forever and if you do keep them together, can grow a lot in the summer and can be trimmed and form a bunch of separate plants. My aunt prunes my grandmother’s every year and gives the cuttings to me and my cousins. My 30 year old was a cutting gifted to my mom when she got her own house so a piece of her mom’s home would be in hers, and she did the same for the rest of her daughters. Not to get too sappy about a succulent, but they can become a really cool family heirloom (and free gift maker 👀) in time.
