Hello everyone, i’m looking for some advice, last year i planted a lemon tree from lemon seeds and before planting into soil i put them in a wet paper towel, in a zip lock bag and left it in a warm dark spot for a few days and then planted it, it grew quite quickly. However, i was wondering if that is necessary or if i can just plant the seeds straight into soil? What is the best way or method to grow a lemon tree?? I have been obsessed with growing my own one for yearsssss but have never been able to do it so im asking for any advice hahah. I am a very beginner gardener :) Thankyou so much for all your help.

Im in growing zone 8B and I have an orange tree that is cold hardy but the rest I have in a green house. If u live in a place that the winters are mild you can put it outside and keep it a sort size so u can cover it with one of those smaller green houses in the winter. But most folks just keep it in a pot. Mine just got too big for me to take it out then bring it indoors. I got my really cold hardy one here. They have affordable ones if u go personally. But online they are about 25$ for a be gallon plant. Google mckenzie-farms.com
