I thought this girl was going to be a plain Jane with a curvy figure, however, she seems to be developing some rouge on her leaves! Whatâs going on? Is this plain Jane going to become a Betty Grable? TIA!

Some plants have vibrant leaves when they first emerge that fade to green with time For instance this prince of orange :) the green leaves are the mature leaves

1 gillaIs it a Pluto?
1 gillaHmmmmm⊠I thought I got that name off the little plant tag, but after investigating both varieties⊠the Pluto, and the Moonlight, the leaves actually look more like a Pluto. What do you think? I was just looking at your almost 300 plants, (I bet you have more than that), how in the world do you do that, and where do you get such incredible plant knowledge? Are you an honest to goodness botanist? Itâs like on one of your posts you used the term CATAPHYLLS, I had to stop and Google it, because I had no idea what that word meant. I have had plants for years, now, but itâs only at this point in my life that Iâve gotten really serious about it. I feel like I bug you too often, with too many questions, but I sincerely hope you donât mind me doing that. You are such a resource to our Planta members, I know lots of others appreciate you as much as I do. TXS for all of your help!
1 gillaIs this a Pluto?
0 gillningarI can say with certainty that it is NOT a moonlight.
2 gillningarYea the moonlight has lighter leaves, kind of a limey yellow. And not serrated. Looking at it more i don't think it's a Pluto. Possibly a narrow leaf... mmm i think it's also called Jungle Boogie.
1 gillaYou answered my question before I even asked itâŠđ€! I was thinking it might be a jingle boogie after I did the research on ChatGPT. Itâs a great resource, especially since I donât have the library that you doâŠđ€; donât I wish! As always, TXS for your input; itâs always helpful!
0 gillningarMines a Pluto 'choco empress' the teeth on the leaves are a bit different, which is why I was thinking you're was the jungle boogie. There has been a big rash of saw tooth cultivars lately too. And a lot of crosses.. like jungle boogie to Florida beauty or bronze.
