Spend the money. Stay away from the cheap multi color tube lights. You need full spectrum. If wattage is not listed in the listing, then it’s too low. Individual plant lights, 10 watts. Wider light spread lights, 40 watts or more. I use Sansi and Barrina. Also have a few off brands that do well. Don’t rely on the reviews because most people have no idea how bright a plant light needs to be to be beneficial.

Yes - INVEST. Nearly all of my lights are Soltech. I believe they are guaranteed to work for 10 yrs - so worth the investment and they always go on sale. You can get a bulb to put in regular lamps for $70

I think there is a similar brand in the UK. I’ve come across it and thought - well that looks like Soltech…..but right now I can’t remember the name. TBH I had to look up Soltech cause my brain wasn’t working 😂

Will try and do a search, they sort of look like pianta but could be another name, loads out there, ac infinity do some good ones especially if in a grow tent, there do all the bits, humidity/ fan/ light and other stuff, not needed it yet but might invest one day if doing some very rare tropical plants that only survive and grow in certain conditions

Personally, I have two different kinds depending on how much area I am trying to cover. Sansi is my go to though. Phenomenal bulb at a very good price. You old want a bulb that goes accordingly for what type of setting/plants you are needing it for. The other lights I use, that I find work extremely well, are the floor standing LBW lights off of Amazon which are ridiculously inexpensive. The only thing that potentially makes Sansi slightly expensive is because you need a fixture to put the bulb in and then a way to hang it. Hope this helps

I use only pianta light bulbs , they do them in 18watt that you keep around 1 to 3ft above your plants in ES and BC holder threads, also do dimmable versions of them, just recently bought out a 30watt version that works really well from a distance. I’ve tried a few that you put in the pots and clip on pots that have different height but don’t find they work very well. There are a few that like the sansi lamps that you can get from Amazon and a few other places BUT I’ve tried them, then thrown away as they get extremely hot, so potentially fire hazard, it may of just been the versions I tried, others in reviews also mention this, I also don’t put any in a fitting with a shade to help ventilation. Around the lamp to prolong the life. Pianta lamp’s have a life of roughly 50,000 hours others half this. Barrina are supposed to be ok but not tried them yet, will at some point but all my plants thriving on the one I mentioned
