So I inherited this snake plant and Christmas Cactus today from a friend, and they both look so very sad. Is there anything that you guys would recommend doing to get them to perk up?? I have them held up by skewers because they were so wilted 😅

Tlc and patience. Learn what their needs are. Don’t overwater. They will perk back up. You actually have a thanksgiving cactus there. Thanksgiving the leaves are pointy like that. Christmas they are squared like that but no pointies. And Easter is almost egg shaped.

Thank you!! I didn’t know that, now I’m going to have to look at my other cactus and see how the leaves are. I love how knowledgeable you are, and I definitely appreciate your help! 🤗

I blame the adhd for some of the things I know🤣 I have one myself so I crash coursed when I first got it🤭 mine get indirect semi bright light. Occasionally they get some morning sun with my jades and I water when the top inch or two is dry. Even though their name says cactus, they like to be watered like a houseplant

Hey, adhd has it’s perks 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 I have it set to the side of a window, so I’m hoping that will be a good spot for it! I repotted it and gave it a drink today hoping it would perk up in the coming days. Keep your fingers crossed for me!! 🤞🏻

I’ve got a Thanksgiving cactus as well, and from what I’m learned from caring for mine, they are epiphytic plants, so they need a very well-draining soil. I use Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent mix for mine and water it every 12-14 days during this season. I wait for mine to mostly dry out between waterings. This plant is very easy to propagate too. I highly recommend looking up some youtube videos about how to get yours to bloom, because they need specific light and temperature requirements to get the plant to bloom, and it can bloom twice in a year. It’s called a Thanksgiving cactus cause that one blooms closer to late November. Hope this helps 😊
