I have a large east facing window in my reading room that Iā€™ve been using for plants for quite some time now. I got some new ones that the app says are too far away from the windowā€¦ Is it okay that theyā€™re a little further than they want them to be if the light is bright enough in the room? Itā€™s a smaller room with all white walls and it gets about 5 hours of morning sun! Thereā€™s nothing to block this window so it gets a lot of backlight all day. I just want to make sure my plant babies are thriving!!! Thanks plant queens, Iā€™m really new to this!!

    Yes they should be happy if the room is bright much of the day! For any that are farther away from the window, definitely make sure you check the soil moisture before watering. Theyā€™ll take a bit longer to dry out between watering being farther from the window.

    The app has a light meter. Try that out. I usually donā€™t go by what the app says because even plants with recorded grow lights notify me that it is too dark. And it is highly dependent upon the plant. Some plants will tolerate lower light, others will not. The app shows preferred light and then acceptable light. Pic is my east window and I still have grow lights on most of my tropicals even though they are close to window. So grow lights may be an option for you if needed. Of course the succulents are under grow lights always. Btw Iā€™m not a plant queen. There are some kings in here too, although not nearly as many. šŸ˜Had to give you a hard time about that.

      Honestly so fair!! I was going to put kings but I chickened out thinking it wasnā€™t going to matter, thank you so much for the advice. I truly appreciate you and you help. Do you have any advice on good grow lights? I donā€™t have quite as many beauties as you but Iā€™m loving your set up!!

      Those look like Barrina shelves and some Sansi clip lights. Those two brands seem to be quite popular. I have some Sansi and am happy. The Barrina 4 and 5 tier shelves with lights are a pretty decent deal for the setup

      Youā€™re good. Barrina shelving, Sansi clip one, Sansi puck lights mounted under the shelves, a few Sansi pot clip ons (my favorite lights), a few Sansi hanging lights, and a couple cheap goose neck lamps. I also have some Barrina strip lights, and a Barrina vertical light. Omg didnā€™t realize I had so many till now. No wonder I have a high electric bill.

      Are the pucks battery or plug in?? Iā€™d love to add some to my plant stand!!! Also, Iā€™d die to take a bath there, I bet itā€™s so peaceful. Thank you so much for all the advice I really really appreciate you!!!
