    Yep
those are air roots. No problem. If you live in a humid climate or humidity is high where the plant is (bathroom?) it isn’t uncommon for them to sprout them.

I’m in Florida and it’s in my loft/home office. Should I do anything?

You don’t “need” to do anything with them, but you can trim them off with sterilized shears if you don’t like the way they look or if they grow a bit out of control.

If you want to get into it, plants growing aerial roots is a hint from them that they’d like a moss pole

this is only true for epiphytes, climbing plants. succulents put out aerial roots for various reasons but usually they are just being adventitious, like if there is extra moisture in the air. some succulents grow aerial roots when they are under or overwatered, like crassula ovata or jade trees. as sunny mentioned they can also be an indicator of damage to the root system.

My succulents put out aerial roots when it thinks it’s about to die! It happens when I underwater or damage/disease is killing off the section where the aerial roots are coming out. Look at the full plant. Does it have dry leaves, look wrinkled and dehydrated? Then, the plant is telling you it is sending out feelers to find water and preparing itself incase it topples over. It will tap into the soil if the plant falls. 💩 đŸȘŽ
