hey guys! any tips for my monstera? i’ve bottom watered it and i think the soil is a little humid still. i don’t know why the leaves are getting yellow. my place has light so she hasn’t been in the dark, neither receiving direct sunlight, only indirect light. also, i’ve got it 2 weeks ago, haven’t repotted it because the soil seemed fine. ive read as well that it needs to get acclimated before repotting. please help 🥹🥹

Are you using any fertilizer? That started happening to my plants when I started slacking on fertilizing them. Just a thought.

You could use a 10-10-10 liquid fertilizer. I use a milder 5-5-5 organic fertilizer. Any of your big hardware stores will have fertilizer.

how frequently? also, would it be good to add it in a pothos too?

I use an organic fertilizer with the weekly, weakly method. I use 1/2 strength fertilizer everytime I water except for the season. That works for me. Good luck 💚🌿

with fall approaching, do you reduce the use of fertilizers since it’s a darker season?

For me, I stop fertilizing when I don't see any active growth. I have monsteras also and they're good. 💚🌿👍🏾

If she’s a brand new purchase your issue is likely the soil. I would repot her into chunky soil. Acclimation shouldn’t be an issue with a plant that size. Godspeed! 💚💚

I have Monsteras and one of mine is actually turning yellow it’s most likely from over watering or underwater since the leaf is just yellow my guess too much water meaning the roots are sitting too long in the water. See I even over watered mine it happens he is seriously not happy mine I am actually going to repot mine .. I would cut the yellow leaf off it won’t come back that way it’s energy is going towards the other growth . Let it dry out check with your finger 2 inches down it is still wet or even moist do t water . If you continue to get yellow leafs like mine probably need to repot …. Remember monsters like more small pots they don’t like way bigger pots where their roots are swimming . I made that mistake a year ago .. you got this it’s all learning . Trust me I still have issues ha ha sometimes you get a sentimental plant who is drama
