So I have like 25 repottings I wanna try and get done today. Someone come help haha. Please refrain from commenting any opinions on repotting and it being fall/winter time. All of my plants are 100% indoor year round living their best life in their high humidity safe haven temperature control box also known as my home. Sure, if your plants spend any extended time outside during spring or summer, I wouldnā€™t repot. But my plants donā€™t know what winter is lol. Essentially, if I got the plant within the last 2 weeks from marketplace , Iā€™m repotting them. If itā€™s in a black pot from the store, Iā€™m repotting them. If itā€™s in a clear pot, they are already living their best life in whatever I mixed up in my soil mix lol Iā€™m gonna name it Plant Crack and sell it haha. Also, just cause Iā€™m repotting doesnā€™t mean theyā€™re going to a bigger pot, if they need to then they will. I just want them in my soil mix. If youā€™re sensing any attitude, I apologize. I havenā€™t had breakfast yet and Iā€™m hangry. ā¤ļø

    Absolutely love your plants, lol lay a lot of black garbage bags down. I also like to do mine in the shower (stays cleaner) can just be a long and messy process. I wish you all the best luckšŸ˜

      I lay down a big piece of painters plastic and I have a green tarp thatā€™s 3x3 that all the old soil goes on, and when Iā€™m done I just toss the soil out in the flower beds outside and in the spring it all gets remixed for outdoor plants.

      I do! Because some soils I see plants in, they just hold water for way to long for my liking, or itā€™s compacted and when I water them the water just runs down the sides and out the bottom. For example, my lemon lime Philo I got from marketplace, the water just sits on top and takes forever to soak through, itā€™s in a tiny little 3 in pot. Did the seller fill it with concrete? lol

    Ok. 20 repottings completed. Iā€™m done for now cause Iā€™m out of correct size pots and orchid bark. My golden pothos cuttings are now potted along with my arrowheads that I made two pots out of lol repotted some older plants and some newer. Still some to go. Time to water!

      Thank you. After 35 years of living, I was finally able to pay off the layaway on my green thumb which I got back in July when all this started. As of right now I am officially at 76 plants (actually 77 I have a rare begonia that not in this app) lol

    My plants dont know what winter is either. Im in VT, winter is HARSH!! I repot ALL THE TIME. I as well make my own mix and repot most everything I bring home. Keeps me busy and my plants are HAPPY šŸ™ƒ

    Out of curiosity, what's your mix? Mine is FFOF, bark, perlite, coco chips...and will also ammend with charcoal and/or sand pending on the plant. I use FFOF as a base to everything.

      These 4 get mixed together. I donā€™t measure. I just eyeball it. I also have some moss that I bought for moss poles that I havenā€™t done yet cause it seems like a project haha

    Curious question, why clear pots? Your personal preference or does it benefit the plants.

    Clear pots allow me to see the soil, the roots, moisture, what's really going on in there without bothering the plant. Plus it's fun to look at lol
