Youāre probably over watering. The app schedule is far from perfect.
2 gillningarWhen should I water it.
0 gillningarLet it dry out a little. Water when the top 1.5-2 inches of soil is dry.
0 gillningarIāve done that Iāve been working on it for over a week
0 gillningarDoes the pot have drainage holes?
0 gillningarYes
0 gillningarHm. Looks like it gets good light. Iām afraid Iām stumped. Hopefully someone else will chime in with an idea. Good luck!
1 gillaAre you checking deep enough in the soil? I usually stick 1/2 to 3/4 of my pointer finger, and if it feels dry but cold i wait still
0 gillningarThank u
1 gillaHave you checked roots?
0 gillningarI have not. How do I go about doing that
0 gillningarPull off the pot. Water if the soil and roots are dry throughout because itās under watered. Let the soil dry out if the soil is wet because itās overwatered. The soil will smell swampy and the roots will be mushy if the plant has root rot. The leaves are not showing signs of root rot. But, the rot (if any) must be cut out, the roots disinfected with hydrogen peroxide and the soil replaced if overwatering gets too much. I recommend using the appās watering notifications only as a reminder to verify the plant needs water or you can quickly kill the plant. Environments, size, soil, water, lighting, etc., are different in each home. The app canāt perfectly predict when your specific plant needs water. Always check the soil for moisture. Check the leaves for a limp wrinkled look or yellowing/dryness. šŖ“š
2 gillningarI agree! Mine does this when he needs a bit of water, thatās how he lets me know! Sunny I love your advice alwaysš
2 gillningarYou could also try a moisture meter, its pretty inexpensive for a basic one if you wanna make it easier also
1 gillaA lot of people say check 1-2ā and make sure itās dry before watering, but Iāll go even further than that on some plants to the point of almost fully dry. Also the app says āwater until it starts drainingā but I water to the point where I think itās just about to start draining but nothing comes out and my plants are doing great.
2 gillningarI agree, let it dry out more before watering
