My grandmothers zz plant had a few branches fall off and she put them in water but I don’t think I see any roots growing is this normal she has had them in water for a little more than a month now please and thank you!

Sydneilooks like they needed to callus a little before going into water. cut to where the brown is, dry out, and try again possibly.
