Is my Florida Beauty ready to be put on a trellis? If so, what kind of trellis would be best for this philo? TIA! PS. Does anybody know how big this plant will get?

If you let them they can get huge. You can really put it on a trellis whenever, I just put my flobe on a coco coir pole cause Iâm too lazy to water a moss pole. I have some adansonii on a metal trellis and itâs thriving too
2 gillningarDo you have any idea how big is huge? I love this plant, but I have a rather small home, along with a number of other plants, so I need to be thinking about what I can do with this plant if itâs going to be HUGE. TIA!
1 gillaBTW, TXS for your post, I appreciated your info!
0 gillningarThey can get a few feet tall. But usually don't get super bushy that ive seen. Maybe like a 2' span. I gotta pole mine soon, she's flopped over
3 gillningarIâd love to see a picture of yours, if possible. I have no idea what a bigger one looks like, at this point. TIA!
1 gillaYours is beautiful, and so full! How can I encourage that kind of fullness? TIA!
1 gillaI'm not sure she's as full as she looks lol because she's flopped over. I haven't done anything except fertilize every 2-3 weeks
1 gillaWhat fertilizer do you use?
0 gillningarFox farm makes several fertilizers as well depending on if its a fruiting or flowering or vegetable or tree, etc. I do mix them occasionally, but Im not sure i have a rhyme or reason lol. I've definitely seen a good difference adding the call/Mag from General Hydroponics in every other water or so. As well as the kelp (foxfarm or superthrive)
1 gillaThanks for your post, Wolfen. I wanted to ask you about the product from General Hydroponics youâre using; is it the same thing as the Armor Si Iâm using, which is also from general hydroponics. Iâm using this with every watering; itâs labeled as a plant growth nutrient 0-0-4. Should I not be using it this frequently? Also, just to clarify, are both the kelp from Fox farm and the Superthrive, the same type of fertilizers? Would I add any of these to my Plant Juice to give my plants a gentle push? So many questionsâŠđâŠ. TIA!
1 gillaIts different. The Armor Si is Silica. And I do use Silica every watering, I just use the TPS Silica Gold right now. The foxfarm kelp is just kelp i believe, and the SuperThrive is kelp based but mostly a vitamin solution. Since youre already doing plant juice and Silica. You could probably add a bit of the cal/mag for a boost. Even the kelp. Both add good nutrients for growth.
1 gillaThanks so much! I REALLY do appreciate the time and trouble you take to answer all my annoying questions! (just call me your pet fungus gnatâŠđŠ ) Iâm trying my best to catch up with the professionals, but itâs gonna be a long haul; there just doesnât seem to be enough time in the day to catch up, and get all my plant chores done. I simply cannot imagine having the number of plants you do; how in the world do you even water all your plants without losing your mind? If at any time youâre bothered by me asking too many questions, just give me a sign, and Iâll get the hint. Again, TXS a milâ!
1 gillaYour not a bother. I'm usually watering like 40 plants a day. The app definitely helped keep it organized. It hasn't been as great with these water schedule glitches though.
1 gillaThanks a bunch⊠If I ever become a bother, youâll know what to doâŠđ±! I canât imagine watering 40 plants a day; no wonder youâre switching to pon. Just out of curiosity, how much time does it take you to water your plants? You must have some system that helps. Iâve recently found that by filling my sink, I can put a bunch of plants in there, and let them bottom water; is this what you do? BTW, I found a YouTube video about moving plants from soil to pon; this person says youâll have much better success, if your plants are put into water, and some added rooting hormone, like Clonex, before moving them into pon. I tried this with my golden mosaic, when I transferred her to pon, and she drooped like crazy; I guess she went into shock. I pulled her out of pon, after seeing this video, and put her into water with a little bit of rooting hormone, and the next morning she looked just fine. So maybe this might be a good idea when removing a plant from soil to prep it for pon, and maybe keep your plant from getting shocky. Have you heard of this? TIA!
0 gillningarIt doesn't take me that long, maybe 15-20mins. I have my water already set up and pre-treated in a 5gallon water jug. So all I need to do is dispense it into the watering can, and water each site. I haven't heard of doing that with the water before the Pon, but I dont see how it could hurt, and it sounds like it might be helping your 1 plants
