I just bought this variegated string of pearls and I need help saving it/making it grow. It’s so small so I’m scared that I’m going to kill it entirely, can anyone give me some advice?

Same as normal string of pearls. Lots of light, wait for the pearls to soften a little before watering (so you’ll be waiting longer than just the soil drying out all the way).
1 gillaI’ve been doing that, I haven’t watered it since I got it but a few of the vines have started turning brown/shriveling. Do you know what causes that?
0 gillningarSheer spite from the plant that’s what lol, most users on here loathe the string of pearls. Beautiful plant, very hard to keep alive and thriving, let alone growing. I sincerely hope a string of pearls fairy gives you some good advice, bc I’ll be needing it too lol
1 gillaDepending on the soil it’s possible that some parts of the root system aren’t getting as much water as the rest. Bottom watering can help, as can repotting with a good quality potting mix
0 gillningarThe soil looks a little hydrophobic, Maybe trying to re-pot and possibly a shallower pot. I've heard string of things like shallow pots. The new soil may help it take in the nutrients better and stop the browning and shriveling of leaves. I'm not a string of things expert but that's what i did with my string of hearts and it helped a lot!

1 gillaMake sure it’s well-watered before you try to swap the soil because their roots are delicate and will break very easily if you don’t. If you’re concerned about hydrophobic soil then you can bottom water with your standard water plus a teensy bit of dish or Castile soap first
1 gillaAnd give these guys 50%+ either fine perlite or sand mixed in with your potting soil. Oh, and in my experience these do fine with standard pot depths as long as the soil drains well enough but if it’s too water retentive then a shallower pot (3-5”) can help. If you want to use a standard pot and are worried about it, just fill the bottom with perlite. The perlite can hold onto some water (so the roots will find it if they need it) but it’s not retentive and doesn’t get anaerobic so you don’t have to worry about rot
