What do people do with their plants if they are traveling ? I am leaving for London next week and I cannot get a plant sitter. Any suggestions ?

It depends on the type of plants you have but self watering devices would work! Sorry I can’t be more help!!!!!
0 gillningarHow long are you gone for?! 7-10 days (depending on temps when you’re gone) is usually okay if you water right before you leave. 2+ weeks you can try a siphon method for plants that can’t handle drying out. Fill a pot with water, get some cotton rope, put one end in the water pot, and tuck one end into your plant. The rope will transfer water to the soil keeping it from drying out.

I’ll be gone for a week
1 gillaThey should be fine then :)
4 gillningarI was in London last year for about a week too. I was so worried but everything was fine. I just gave them all a good watering before I left. Have a great visit!
2 gillningarI’ve left mine for 2 weeks & the only one that I lost was a fittonia.
0 gillningarMost plants will be fine with 2 weeks if you water before you leave. I was just away for 2 + weeks and only lost two plants that I knew would be trouble. Good luck and have fun on your trip
1 gillaI went on vacation recently and have a plant that is usually watered daily, that I wasn’t going to be able to water. And of course while I was away, record high temps. Luckily I kept the pot in a COOKING POT FULL OF WATER 😂. I came back and there was just a bit of water left and it seemed happier than normal even 😅. Obv you don’t have to use a pot lol but try some sort of container that is shallow/deep enough to do so and kinda turn it into a delayed watering. Hope that helps!!
