Take it slow. I never listen to that advice, though.

You got this!! This app and the good people on it wonāt lead you astray!
1 gillaFirst of all you have one of my favorite plants. Iāve had it for several years and have started many new plants from its cuttings. Just remember this is a semi succulent plant and its care is different from tropical plants. You are starting off with a very healthy looking plant and one that is relatively easy to take care of. So search out ābaby rubber plantā or āpeperomia obtusifoliaā for some care advice on the internet. Yours is variegated, like mine, but care is the same as with regular plant.

Phil, this plant looks awesome! I had one that was super healthy, but it got so damn tall that it outgrew the orchid stakes I used to hold it up and ended up flopping over and breaking. Do you snip new growth to get it be more bushy vs letting it grow tall and lanky.
2 gillningarI do trim it back. Thatās how I get so many cuttings. But this week the little furry white beast of a dog has broken off two stems. But theyāll grow back with multiple branches. Itās on a bay window seat and there is a rabbit that likes to hide out under that window in the shrubbery. He runs back and forth and runs into the plant. I need to put up a barricade. Vicious little 14 pound Bichons.

Gotta love the pups. I have a miniature pinscher, so Iām adept at trying to balance the small dog/plant life balance!!
1 gillaDepending on your climate, you may need to water less than what planta suggests. I would just stick your finger in the soil to make sure it's dry before watering again. That will help prevent overwatering, other than that just make sure it has some light :)
