I’ve had this money tree for 3 years now and it started with the braid. It still has the initial braid, but with the height it’s grown, should I be securing it together or trying to twist them? I’m used to a money tree having that braided trunk and I’m afraid this plant won’t be supported without it.

I have no experience with money trees, but I just wanted to say it looks beautiful 🤩 ✨💖🪴

I tried braiding my new growth and ended up breaking a limb! 😫 so I had to splice it back together with q-tips and medical tape. The split eventually healed but I decided to let the limbs be free. I think if you want to braid, you have to start training the limbs early on while they are growing and flexible.

This is what my oldest money tree looks like (4 years!). I braided the newer growth but broke some along the way. Thankfully this plant is pretty resilient so the breakage just caused new growth! That said, braiding is not necessary if you’re uncomfortable with doing it yourself. Btw, I’m 5’6 and it’s up to my shoulders now 🥹

Wow!!! It’s so beautiful! Mine only has two trunks which is kinda strange. The other two were dead when it came with it. Do you think it will still be okay?

I think it should be fine. Did you remove the dead parts?
