Any idea why my orchid is looking like this? Flowers look to be wilting. I’ve never cared for an orchid before so let me know if you have any advice!

I don’t know too much about orchids, but I think I have the same one! It looks like when my flowers died off, which is totally natural. In terms of care I just transplanted it to a larger pot full of orchid bark, mist it fairly regularly, and water and fertilize occasionally.
1 gillaThe flowers die naturally from the oldest out to the newest blossoms. If they’re dying off all at once or the newest blossoms are dying first you have a problem. I’d do some googling on orchid care if I were you. They are completely different from other houseplants. This particular one is epiphytic meaning it doesn’t grow in soil. It attaches to trees. So if you plant it in soil and keep the roots all buried and wet, it will die. Not all orchids are like this, but this one definitely needs its roots to be in very loose medium or out in the open. That’s why most people buy these orchids for the flowers and toss them when they’re done blooming. It’s also why cultivators and nursery’s pot them up inappropriately. They pot them to look pretty. They don’t pot them for survival.
