Iâm not sure whatâs going on here but should I be worried? It looks like mold. I put coffee grounds in it. Can that cause this?

If the plant is looking good then nothing to worry about. Just mix the dirt around and fluff it. Itâs too compacted it needs a little more air to dry out

Putting coffee grounds in the soil as fertilizer sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately your plant will likely outgrow the pot before the coffee grounds can even breakdown to a point that the plant can uptake nutrients from it. So while it sounds like a nice idea, itâs not really worth it. If you want to do this, I suggest using the grounds in compost. As for the mold, it shouldnât hurt the plant.

Itâs getting overwatered, either do what Gabby said, or change the soil. My Peace Lily had mold on it for 3 mornings, even though I removed it properly. I changed the soil, and it hasnât came back.
