I got this ginseng ficus for Christmas and the leaves were all dead by the time I got it home. I started putting it under grow lights everyday and started to see some green come out of the branches but now it has stopped. I’m wondering if it’s being scorched by the grow lights?? Or am I underwatering?? Any advice appreciated

It’s been my experience that, as long as you have LED lights, you almost can’t burn your plant ever, just because they run so cool. Now, there are definitely some that would, but you’d need to spend some money and have, like, a commercial growing operation for it to even make sense. As for the ficus, maybe it’s just doing it’s winter thing and will leaf out again when it warms up and daylight lengthens?

Plenty of light, misting it a bit more frequently and making sure that the soil doesn’t dry out too much or gets over watered should help â˜ș A repotting will be helpful when it has started to sprout some new growth. 🌿

Hi! I would also recommend a pruning of any branches that are dried up and dead. This will stimulate growth at those points as well. Be sure to use sharp and clean clippers for best results!
